Prior to joining iota Sciences, Martin was co-founder and CEO of Arthurian Life Sciences Limited, launching the Wales Life Sciences Fund in 2013; and co-founder of its successor company, Arix Bioscience Ltd in 2015. Having raised £52 million in a private round in 2016, Arix listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2017, raising £100 million. He has completed over 12 transactions in the past 5 years, including spin-outs, management buy-out, acquisitions, IPO, a dual listing and a de-listing, product sales and multiple funding rounds, both equity and debt offerings. Martin has been a non-Executive Director of Woodford Investment Management Ltd since its launch in 2014, and through Bradshaw Consulting Ltd, he advises major investors in the life sciences and tech sectors. He is a non-Executive Director of Simbec-Orion Group, a Contract Research Organisation, and Interrad Medical LLC, a Minneapolis-based medical device company.
